We are able to Backup or Recover data. The fee for this service runs from £60.
If you are able to supply an external hard drive, and there is enough space on the drive, the cost will be £60.
If the data is not readily available due to a fault on the hard drive, we will attempt to recover the data, this will cost a further £60 (£120 in total) - however if we are not able to get any data, the charge will only be £30 for our time.
If you require us to supply an external hard drive or memory stick, we will add this cost to the bill (typically £20 - £80 depending on size and type)

I've always relied on my PC since I began computing as one of the strings to my bow! When the Computer Hospital at the Cherry Tree closed I lost my regular service and repair. I was so happy to find Paul's business and haven't looked back. He provides excellent reliable service at a reasonable price. I know if I'm stuck, he'll find me a quick solution. Highly recommend.

I run an internet business and use QuickBooks for my accounts. So I was horrified when I recently turned on my laptop only to find that my hard drive had given up. My main concern was the loss of all my data as the last back up was two weeks old. I contacted Paul at Essex PC Fix late on a Saturday afternoon and explained my problem. He was extremely busy but managed to get to me within a couple of hours. Paul took my laptop and commenced work on it straight away.
I received regular updates including on the cost of the work to be carried out. He was able to extract all the data from the old hard drive, clear viruses and supply and install a new hard drive. My data was saved (along with a week of banging my head against my desk trying to backtrack on the last two weeks of data!). The upshot is: Paul is the man!
I am certain that had I gone to my second choice (a major national PC supplier/repairer) that I would have not received the same level of service nor my data and would have paid double. I will only use Paul and Essex PC Fix from now on and would recommend that you do too!

As a business user I need to have my computer systems up and running at all times. When you call this company they respond almost immediately, the service is good and costs are very competitive. My computer had some very serious problems, so I telephoned Essex PC Fix since the company was highly recommended in Which local traders. Paul Middleton the owner suggested I tried something while he was on the phone. This didn’t work so Paul arrived in 27 minutes, ran some tests and took the computer away. He returned the next morning having backed up the computer, wiped the hard disc, reinstalled all programs and data - without losing any.
He then plugged in all my peripherals and made sure they all worked the way I liked.
Paul was extremely courteous, professional, friendly and knowledgeable and made some suggestions regarding browsers, firewalls and anti-spyware to improve what I had installed. I cannot recommend him highly enough; I certainly will not use anyone else!
