Good As New Computer Repair Specialists

My laptop stopped working before going abroad and I needed this to finish my university assignments. I had less than a week and they fixed my laptop in no time.

My laptop had started to overheat a lot when running Adobe or gaming, however, was advised previously this is a structural issue with gaming laptops due to lack of airflow although this never used to happen before?

When the screen stopped working. I had tried a few DIY things that didn't work and had figured it needed to see a specialist. My dad took my laptop here based on recommendations. They knew what they're doing. They mentioned the issues were the fans collected too much dust and was overheating the processor (oops!), he advised replacing the fans he also added another RAM stick which I completelyyy forgot to do so glad it was brought up.

Glad to say the laptop is in good condition. It's still running smoothly, the fans are no longer going crazy when nothing is even running, not overheating so quickly as before and I'm happy I can still play sims too!

Had problems with my laptop not charging. Took it to a computer repair shop who told me it needed a new motherboard, would take 2 weeks.
Wanted a 2nd opinion so took it to Steve at as good as new. He got the laptop charged and working again within the hour. Motherboard was fine, problem was faulty charge port.
He also tidied up some of the software for me.

My sons pc encountered some issues that pushed my IT knowledge, so we booked in with Steve to have a diagnostic and he found the issue pretty quickly, as well as offered some suggestions to bolster the machine a bit more. He took care to explain what was happening and why and how to tackle it and within a couple of hours he had resolved the issue.

Steve is brilliant, I had needed a replacement keyboard on my laptop and gave it to a different repair centre which held it for months and apparently tried multiple keyboards and convinced me my laptop had some sort of short supply keyboard and that it was very hard to get hold of.

I took it to Steve came back less than a week later and collected my laptop and its been functioning perfectly for nearly an year and will continue to do so. Price he charges for the quality and speed that he provides is unmatched.

Very glad I found this repair shop and would recommend it to anyone who wants peace of mind knowing their devices are in good hands.

Had a problem with a computer that no other repair services wanted to help with and all told me there was no point. Spoke with Good as New and he asked me bring it in, had a look at it and had it all sorted for me within a week. Its honestly just nice to know that a service like this exists today. If I have any problems in the future I know where to go to. Couldnt recommend them more.

I contacted Steve regarding cleaning up my laptop and installing Windows 11. I explained my knowledge of computers was nil. He explained everything to me, quoted a price which was more than fair. I received a great service for my laptop which wasnt charging or powering on. I was provided with a simple solution, when I had previously been quoted 500 repairs by Samsung repairs! I called up after building the pc myself as I couldnt figure out the wiring! I called they was able to take on a Saturday they stripped it and started again wired everything in and installed windows 11 pro on there for me and set the hole pc up for me to be able to get some games and enjoy it they have been so helpful even explained everything for me to understand will definitely use them again for any computer repairs or support number 1 guys without a doubt also pricing is mental I was worried it was going to cost me loads but it really didnt and they added some extras in like a support bracket for my graphics card was back within a couple of days Thankyou so much would highly recommend

I went to another pc repair guy where I was overcharged and more problems were caused then solved. I called this place and was able to drop the pc off on the same day where he was able to diagnose the problem and start finding solutions. As soon as the parts required arrived he inserted them into my pc. Not only did he repair it, but he also did a clean which I never asked and he upgraded my RAM for a really reasonable price. If you have any problems I would highly recommend this place.

It's always a little intimidating dealing with someone who is an expert in something you know nothing about - like car mechanics or plumbers - not so with Steve at 'Good As New' computer repairs. Steve is not only excellent at what he does but his services are competitively priced, he is utterly reliable and a really great guy too. He replaced my screen in moments, having ordered and received the replacement in 24 hours and then helped more when the computer crashed (literally) causing additional damage before it even got to him! A credit to his trade, do not hesitate to take your computer problems to Steve - hell sort it.

Took my laptop to be repaired on Wednesday evening and it was ready for me to pick up on Friday evening my laptop runs so much more smoothly its honestly amazing! The service is fantastic!
