Absolutely amazing work carried out by Shaun. Very nice to talk to and share some knowledge. I was nervous dropping off my computer as it was the first time leaving something like that with someone else, but I am very glad I did it. Would definitely recommend to anyone with any computing issues. 10/10.

My son accidentally spilled Lucozade over my laptop which meant it wouldn't even turn on. I contacted a few shops but they all said the damage from the sugar would have ruined the motherboard and it was beyond repair. I wanted to at least salvage the data. After letting it sit for a few months I got in touch with Shaun and within 48 hours he had my laptop working again. Really happy and would recommend to everyone!

I had a slow old laptop that I was thinking of throwing away and buying new. Shaun assessed it over the phone and then offered to look at it for free before advising me properly. I dropped it round to him at 5.00 pm and within a few hours he had diagnosed it and provided a couple of options with quotes. Another day and we had picked up our serviced and tuned laptop that now works like it should. A professional service with great prices.

9 year old Apple MacBook Pro developed starting and operational problems. Shaun ran tests and diagnosed the problems. Repair was completed in just over a week and at a very reasonable cost. I had lost all hope of repairing my laptop - it had stood unused in a box in the loft for 2 years after It had completely gone haywire and deleted all of my photos from the past 10 years ( including puppy photos of my dog who I lost tragically lost last year!) So my partner found it and took it to Shaun to see if maybe we could at least get it back up and running, even if I had to come to terms with the loss of a decades worth of memories - not only did Shaun manage to get it back up and running, updated it and replaced the old hard drive with a much more efficient one - he managed to rescue ALL of my photos!!!

I was having problems with my laptop and Your Geek Friend had been recommended to me by a friend. I had problems with the screen colour - everything was greeny/purple and it was running very very slowly. Frustrating! Picked up my laptop today and it is now running so much quicker, all malware has been cleared, new updates installed, the colours have been restored and it has had a good clean! (hardly recognised it!) Am really pleased with the friendly and speedy service. Would recommend to anyone.

I had problems with my Ipod syncing with ITunes. I took my tower and Ipod to Shaun on Friday afternoon, less than 24hrs later he contacted me to say he had sorted the problem out and it was ready for collection. Shaun is very helpful and extremely knowledgeable and I will use him again.

Problem was solved for cheaper than expected in less than a day. Once complete problem was explained at an understandable level so I knew how to not make the same mistake again. Bonus, laptop was cleaned and generally made to run slightly more efficiently even though that wasn't the problem. Absolutely fantastic help, service and cost!

My laptop wasn't working correctly due to malware, this was removed and my machine tidied up; it now runs much quicker than before. Internet browsing also much better due to an adblocker being installed. My many questions also answered in a way I could understand! Shaun has helped me out twice now when I've had a problem with my computers. The first time, I was desperate and needed my computer back up and running when it was wiped out. He recovered all of my important files for which I was told were unrecoverable. Also, very last-minute, he helped me while at the airport just in time for my flight to America so I could finish some work on the flight! Had my laptop hacked through email. Phoned Shaun who suggested I not use it that night but take it to him the next morning. He completely sorted it, removed the virus and prevented further problems and fully serviced my laptop so it was working even better than before. Excellent service and such a relief as I was really panicing about being hacked but was clueless without professional help.

Recently moved to the area, so needed a new computer guy when my PC died (BSOD/Stop Error, leading to BIOS not booting after a couple of days). Shaun diagnosed the issue for free the same day, then quoted (very reasonably!) for the necessary work which was completed the next day (so he could ensure it did fix the problem). I'm so happy to find a tech guy I can trust. Would definitely recommend and will be using him again to upgrade my computer soon.
