When I put the DC connector into the DC Jack, I have to wiggle it around a lot for it to register and then hold it in place so that it will charge the netbook. I have tried uninstalling the webcam driver and then re-installing the latest version from the ASUS website, this didn't work. This stays open for a couple of seconds before closing itself down. At the very least for both issues I would like to know what is causing them. | Samsung NC-10 netbook display problem - Halesowen I have a 2.5-year-old Samsung NC10 netbook with a display problem that has been steadily getting worse for ages. It won't come as any surprise to most computer repair technicians, I'm sure, but the problem is that the screen turns white most of the time and will only work at a very specific angle (all the way back), and even then I've normally got blue patches all over the screen. I don't want the plastic to be replaced on anything on the spine because I can do that myself, however I can't get the screws to go all the way through the plastic, because as you know the screw starts off through one side of the plastic goes through a metal piece attached to the spine and through to the back piece of plastic. The support people originally couldn't work out what was wrong and replaced the hard disk (twice) which fixed it for a few months. | Laptop Repair Services in Prescot Hello, I have had a Toshiba Laptop computer M60 for 1 year and 7 months (Reconditioned) and, last year I got a Driving Test DVD for my birthday, my sister made sure it was compatible with my laptop. I had the DVD for a couple of weeks and then my computer crashed and, it made a loud screaming noise and then, no sound at all. I did get my computer on-line through my sister's desk top computer from Curry's, after the problem I experienced with it, I could get nothing out of it so, I took it to the Curry's store in Prescot (As it was under a twelve month guarantee) One of the assistance in the store did a System Restore, that seem to do the trick, (So I thought) Most recently It stopped typing, the mouse pointer appeared to be out of position. I did drop my computer at one point but, that was after all I have described. | Laptop Repair Services ACER Notebook won't power up Acer Notebook Travelmate c213TMi Model ZE2 Purchased 12 April 2007 Problem: When Power button pressed, the green power light comes on, screen lights up momentarily and you can see the word "acer" then it shuts down. We suspect if may be a problem with the heatsink or PSU. The unit worked fine up till two days ago when this problem happened. We would also like a separate quote for the following, if you're interested: 1. Replace the missing Power on button (it fell out some time ago and we use the stylus to turn it on) 2. Push the Infra red reader back into place - it has sunk into the casing and needs to be pushed back 3. the fingerprint reader stopped working after a few months - cna it be fixed or replaced - not hugely important. Although we live in Devon, the laptop is used in Cheshire, near Manchester.
