First of all, the Internet and the World Wide Web are NOT passing fancies, or something that just popped on the scene and will be gone tomorrow, next year or even ten years from now. The Web is the biggest breakthrough for imparting information since the printing press. We are on the verge of the next business revolution that will affect the way society will live, work, play, and trade from here on in!

We can help you decide on the right level of support for your organization. There are many combinations of telephone, on line or on-site support. Add to this the complexity of support call times and response times, service level agreements and penalties. Our approach is to help you navigate all the options and come out with a support package that addresses all your support needs. Covering your IT equipment and focused on value for money. Whether you are an experienced user or a novice, sooner or later you're going to come across problems.

You may be happy with your current IT support, but have you considered that the "Fire fighting" type of support they offer is only half the story. There are good reasons large companies have IT departments and it's not all about the Helpdesk. Kent PCs have a unique fixed low cost solution for those companies that have outgrown traditional support, would like to take advantage of greater IT expertise, but would not have the workload for a full time employee and could not therefore justify the high cost of their own support personnel.

PC support as everyone knows is a time consuming and expensive business. The PC develops a fault you spend ages on the phone (1 a minute) trying to speak to a support technician only to be told they will have to send someone out for a site visit (more expense). When the technician eventually arrives the following day he fixes the problem in five minutes (but you are charged call-out plus an hours labour). At the top the first level is of course the phone or email. This is the method of initial contact.

The Fleet Partnership (Fleet) is a progressive finance brokerage, and principal lessor, incorporated in 1986, with experience in helping corporate clients arrange finance or re-finance for any tangible asset. Kent PC's have provided IT support to Fleet since their first meeting in April 2002, Helping to co-ordinate the relocation of Fleet's head office from London to the gateway to Europe - Ashford, Kent. Fleet have a network of 10 machines, spread between two sites. Kent PC's evaluated the needs of the new office and implemented the installation of the necessary network infrastructure, along with measures to stabilise the exisiting network, and allow connectivity between sites, as well as supplying new hardware, software and ISP.

Basically, a VPN is a private network that uses a public network (usually the Internet) to connect remote sites or users together. Instead of using a dedicated, real-world connection such as leased line, a VPN uses "virtual" connections routed through the Internet from the company's private network to the remote site or employee. A Virtual private network can be a cost effective and secure way for different corporations to provide user access to the corporate network and for remote networks to communicate with each other across the Internet.
