Dealing with Liam and the staff at Computer Assist over the years has been a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of other computer shops I've been in. I have now moved 250 miles across the country and still use computer assist as my number one computer shop! The staff are very knowledgeable and have always explained things to me in a language I understand as well as building me a custom pc to make my work within music production much faster and reliable. They also helped me recently by providing a quote quickly for my insurance company when I had my laptop stolen. I always feel that customer service and quality of service and skills is held as an upmost priority at computer assist and for this reason will continue to use and recommend the shop!
I have used Computer Assist over the last 5 or so years. I have always been very happy with their service. James and Liam know what they are talking about and are very good at understanding the problem and fix it in no time. My system consist of 1 Server, 3 pc's and 2 laptops. the system was upgraded in February 2011 and I am very pleased with the networks performance with the back up I have received from Computer Assist.

I am an IT professional with responsibility for around 80 users and a vast array of hardware and networking, I have used Computer Assist almost exclusively for procurement of equipment and software for the past 12 years and I remember that when I first started using Computer Assist old Mr Doyle still used to work in the shop. You might be able to get something a few pence cheaper online, but when you need expert help with mission critical situations I know that I can rely on Liam and his knowledgeable team of technicians to quickly get to the bottom of the problem.They keep a huge range of gear in stock so that it's just a matter of popping in and collecting your order, no waiting days for something to turn up only to find that the courier has damaged it and another one has to be sent out. The 'backroom boys' have their finger on the pulse of technology and often know of new innovations before the PC magazines review them. Their manner is not condescending to the computer illiterate, they take the time to explain what is the best course of action or what you need to do to get some piece of equipment to work with your system and in a language that can be understood by the lay person, but equally they can communicate with IT professionals on their own terms. You don't get this level of service at PC World!
I had power problems on my laptop and was really clueless about what to do. I took it to computer assist and had a very helpful gentleman called Liam help me, he diagnosed the problem instantly and quoted me to do the work, whats best is that it was completed later that day and they had sorted out the noisy fan at the same time.
