SOCIAL VALUE - In terms of social value, we are well ahead of the game. For over 8 years we have been retraining long term unemployed people and volunteers, some on placement from colleges and training organisations and we make work placements available for all our local schools using computer recycling.

COMPUTER RECYCLING - We are fully licensed by the Environment Agency and provide a valuable computer recycling service to 2 local authorities and most of Yorkshires Emergency Services, plus several NHS Trusts, PCTs, schools and businesses throughout the region. We provide Data Security and guarantee sanitising of all hard drives and devices that we use. We have a 100% no landfill policy and as we have outlets for just about everything we take in we actually achieve around 97% recycling rates.

LOW COST COMPUTERS - We provide low cost refurbished computers to our communities and many free of charge computer systems to good causes. We re-case many computers so they look good and also build several brand new systems. Everything is available on our website.

REPAIRS We have several highly qualified and experienced technicians to help you with your computing problems. Inspection and diagnostics are charged at J10. Small software installs and minor configuration issues are charged at J10. Minor upgrades such as matching and fitting memory upgrades or fitting a new PSU costs just J10. Most hardware and software repairs can be accomplished for no more than J35. A full format and reinstall costs just J35. We wipe the hard drive clean and start again from scratch. This is the cure for most troublesome software problems and serious virus infestations. If you need backups of your data first we do this where possible for an extra J10.

HOSTED VISITS - We host visits from all over the world for people to come and learn the regulations about computer recycling and about how to run a successful social enterprise. Many new computer recycling ventures have started after a visit here.

CHARITY All our profits are given to Chrysalis Youth & Community Project to help in their work with young people who are not in mainstream education. They can provide an alternative program which includes OCN qualifications in motor mechanics or building and construction. Soon they will have a community radio station and be able to learn broadcast & media.
